A Time-Out Is Time Well Spent
Moon is in Capricorn + it's Jupiter's day: Feel hopeful & get crackin', b/c time waits for no one.
it's thursday, december 5, & moon is in capricorn, in the starspace (pie slice of capricorn sky) called shravana. capricorn is ruled by old man saturn, the cosmic timekeeper. his mantra is, "time waits for no one" & he can be grim reaperish as he chants it over & over, continuously reminding us to get 'er done now.
not to be a downer, but, like saturn, osho reminds us that death "can come any moment. be prepared. & what is the preparation? the preparation is: live life so totally, so intensely, be so aflame with it that when death comes there is no complaint, there is no grudge."
"they" say we are each given so many breaths to breathe in this lifetime, & no one knows how many. capricorn creates an environment for paying attention to the support structures of our individual lives—home, family, business—firming up & reinforcing them. now. so we have no regrets, no grudges later.
shravana invites us to listen deeply. which means getting still, creating a cone of silence around us. ok, good luck with that, especially if you live in a city—altho my teacher david life used to say, basically, if you can meditate in new york, you can meditate anywhere! but/& we can create a buffer around us by drawing our attention in in in. i went on a vipassana retreat a few months ago, meditation boot camp, which involved fine-tuning our precious faculties of attention, becoming acutely aware of thoughts & sounds, which translates into becoming acutely aware of each moment, acutely present. i have seen a huge payoff in my life, one that would thrill saturn, as every day, i am more present to what needs doing, to what i can do, & i get 'er done. a time-out for stillness is time well spent!
it's the fifth lunar day (tithi), the fifth phase of the waxing moon, which supports us in achieving our goal—hmmm, kinda like saturn, & kinda like shravana. this tithi helps us get clear on our goal by dispelling any ignorance/misthinking around it, like jupiter. which is why this tithi resonates so well with shravana & thursday. may the cosmic forces be with you today!
thursday is ruled by ever-hopeful, ever-optimistic jupiter. who or what makes you feel hopeful? connect with those resources today, show them some gratitude.
TL;DR
get ‘er done now so you have no regrets later. • use your precious faculties of attention to, well, pay close attention. • today’s nakshatra + tithi + jupiter’s day = achieving our goals. • resource yourself with uplifting resources.
& that’s your daily bliss! IN-joy! 🌓🙏✨
