Be the Light, so You Can Share the Light
Moon is in Leo + it's Jupiter's day: Shine like the Sun so others know they can; tap into your favorite wisdom sources for inspiration.
it's thursday, february 13, & moon is in leo, in the starspace (pie slice of leo sky) called magha until 8:30 a.m. mountain time, then purvaphalguni. leo vibrates with the frequency of leadership, of shining our light, being a beacon of light. leo is ruled by the sun, which never stops shining, shares his light generously & selflessly with one & all, b/c he can, never expecting anything in return. under the sway of leo, we are invited to lead by example, to be all we can be, shine like the sun so others can see what's possible & are inspired to step up & do the same, create a world of a billion brilliant suns.
my favorite part of my yoga teacher training a thousand suns ago was the evening aarti ritual, in which after the deities are offered light from a candle or camphor lamp, everyone in attendance is, takes a little bit of it for themselves, the light shared with all.
how can you share your light with one & all today?
purvaphalguni (see yesterday's post for magha) is, i was told by my first jyotishi, the cat in the hammock, b/c my ascendant is in this asterism. i took it to mean i was lazy & she didn't clarify. this was distressing. i now know the lesson here is about playing or resting hard after working hard, replenishing our energy, enjoying the fruits (phalguni), the results, of our efforts. play? rest? both? what'll it be?
it's the second lunar day (tithi), the second phase of the waning moon, which has a quality of pride & is associated with the goddess bhagamalini, whose name means "garlanded with luck" or "fame." pride gives us the confidence to believe in ourselves & to thus make great effort. of course pride also cometh before the fall, so we have to find the right balance, keep our ego in check. if we can do that, we will be rewarded with luck/fame, will be victorious. but/& we have to do the work, b/c we all know that, as the roman philosopher seneca pointed out, "luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity," right?
"i am a great believer in luck, & i find the harder i work the more i have of it."—stephen leacock
thursday is ruled by jupiter, so it's a good day to connect to wisdom sources for inspiration.
TL;DR
the greatest leaders lead by example, so set a great example by being all you can be. • if you’ve been working hard, it’s time to play hard or rest up. • be confident in your vision but/& don’t let it go to your head. • who or what inspires you?
& that’s your daily bliss! IN-joy! 🌖🙏✨
