it's tuesday, april 29, & moon is in taurus, in the starspace called rohini. taurus vibrates with the frequency of "it's a wonderful life," the juiciness & comfort of our material existence. it is, however, opposite scorpio, which vibrates with the frequency of our misery (more or less). our mission is not to get stuck in either vibration, to IN-joy while we can but understand that neither joy nor sorrow lasts forever & that the one informs the other.

it's the third lunar day (tithi), the third phase of the waxing moon, which, when it aligns with sun's & moon's exaltation, their pinnacles of power, as it does today, is akshaya tritiya, the most auspicious day in the lunar calendar—woo-hoo! when our soul (sun) & mind (moon) are vibing high as kites together, anything is possible, any project we start, any seed we plant, is guaranteed success. even tho it's mars' day, not normally a good day to get married (an understatement!), even a wedding will be blessed. what'll it be for you? do take advantage of this auspicious energy. "akshaya" means "never diminishing," so whatever rituals you observe today will continue to reap benefits. you might (choose one or more):

• chant aum namo bhagavate vasudevaya 108 times to honor exalted moon
• chant aum namo bhagavate ramachandraya 108 times to honor exalted sun
• worship goddess gauri, who is associated with the third tithi, by chanting to her
• write down your wishes/desires & place them in front of goddess lakshmi or on your altar (bonus points if lakshmi is on your altar!), light a candle & bow down toward the southeast, chanting aum mahalakshmaye namah three times
• vow to relinquish bad habits & embrace good ones
