Chopping Wood, Carrying Water
Moon is in Taurus + it's Mercury's day: Embrace the enoughness of your life, untangle your thoughts before you share them.
it's wednesday, april 2, & moon is in taurus, in the starspace (pie slice of taurus sky) called rohini. taurus is moon's happiest place & is ours as well. the key is being able to embrace the enoughness of our life, be with what is, not needing one more anything (piece of chocolate, ski day, a new car, a bigger house, a different job) or anyone to feel complete, whole. taurus is opposite scorpio, our discomfort zone. we are always toggling between the two. being ok with what is also entails being ok with the stuff we don't necessarily like or want in our lives, the unpleasant stuff. not to be a debbie downer, but my lama used to say that we are always either in crisis (scorpio) or between crises (taurus). our work is to IN-joy the cozy comforts of taurus without getting attached to them, without expecting the comfort to last forever. b/c feelings, like the moon, change daily.
before enlightenment, chop wood & carry water; after enlightenment, chop wood & carry water.
rohini gives us the power to grow all things &, speaking of happy places, is moon's fave nakshatra. there are 27, each representing one of the moon's wives. at one time, moon wanted to spend every night with rohini, &, as you can imagine, the other wives weren't having any of it. in order to keep peace in his cosmic house, moon agreed to rotate among all the wives, spending one night with each. which is why the moon travels daily. the message of this asterism is to feel into our gifts, our all-attractive qualitie, our ability to manifest, but not to make others jealous as a result.
it's the fifth lunar day (tithi), the fifth phase of the waxing moon, until midday, then the sixth. the fifth tithi, like rohini, supports our creative impulses, but/& we may have so many ideas we are challenged to focus on just one. the sixth supports us in bringing our goal home, making our dream real & solid.
wednesday is ruled by mercury, who is not only retrograde now but conjunct rahu, so our thinking may be confused. wednesday is always a good day to communicate—just make sure to pause before you hit "send" or open your mouth, take time to rethink & review, untangle your thoughts.
TL;DR
the key to happiness is being ok with what is, regardless. • express your gifts of creation without inciting jealousy. • try to focus on your most important project. • review & rethink before you hit “send” or open your mouth.
& that’s your daily bliss! IN-joy! 🌒🙏✨
