Cooperation, not Contention
Moon in Sagittarius & Mercury's day: Testing our belief in democracy & viewing the world through the lens of data, not spin.
it's wednesday, november 6, & moon is in sagittarius, in the starspace (portion of sag) called purvashadha, & it is, apparently, a very new morning in america. as i mentioned yesterday, sagittarius is where our beliefs live & get tested. it's where, for example, we get to ask ourselves whether we truly believe in democracy or just when it delivers our particular flavor, or, um, color, of reality. we get to ask whether we can make room in our hearts, & city-state-country, for those who have different world views than we do.
"when we make room for the other, we show our appreciation for humanity. that is when we open to the possibility of a free human world, in which all people are given space to be themselves, & the support they need to flourish alongside one another."—ty landrum
purvashadha is where, after outing the old, we in the new. to continue on the america-centric theme, the USA surprisingly & decisively uprooted one political belief system yesterday & is in the process of planting a new one. mula (see yesterday's post for more) is a very transformative, revolutionary even, asterism—it is ruled by niritti, an especially fierce goddess, who takes no prisoners. purvashadha is ruled by apas, the personification of the vast waters of collective consciousness & who inspires us to work together to achieve a common goal, like perhaps creating the world we want to live in. are we in this together or not?
it's the fifth lunar day (tithi), the fifth phase of the waxing moon, until noon MST, then the sixth. the fifth tithi is related to inspiration, the sixth to making that inspiration reality, setting it in stone. goddess laxmi knew what she wanted as soon as she saw vishnu, was inspired by the vision of him, & went for him 100 percent. what inspires you? what goal will you smack down 100 percent for?
wednesday is ruled by mercury, whose reality is based on data, on, say, tabulated votes, not on manipulation & magical thinking by spin doctors. & he is a good sport, not a poor sport, maintains a friendly demeanor regardless.
bonus track: the combination of mercury's day & purvashadha increases our ability to accomplish what we want to. how will you use that special sauce?
TL;DR
what does democracy mean to you? • planting seeds for the world we want to create together. • keeping our eyes 100% on the prize. • numbers don’t lie & neither does mercury.
& that’s your daily bliss! IN-joy! 🌜🙏✨
