Don't Harsh My Joy!
Moon is in Gemini + it's Venus' day: Let your mind go off-road, notice all the many small things with the potential to bring happiness.
it's friday, march 7, & moon is in gemini, in the starspace (pie slice of gemini sky) called mrigashira until late morning mountain time, then ardra. gemini vibrates with the frequency of curiosity, of exploring new realms physically &/or intellectually. gemini is ruled by thinky mercury, who is hanging out these days in pisces. mercury is very rational & logical, the environment of pisces anything but. but/& einstein had his mercury in pisces & that worked out just fine for him, allowed him to think differently, more imaginatively, creatively, less linearly. who knows if he woulda thunk up the theory of relativity otherwise.
“if we can’t keep our imagination alive we will die. imagination sees past the hard boundary & into a different place. imagination says why not? ... imagination creates."—jeanette winterson
what new realms might you explore if you let your mind wander, go off-road?
mrigashira, speaking of wandering, is the wandering deer, the deer ever in search of that je ne sais quoi that will bring ultimate satisfaction, the satisfaction that will end all wandering, all searching. spoiler alert: what we are searching for is what is searching—it's not out there but in here! ardra brings destructive stormy energy, the internal sturm und drang that initiates transformation—no pain, no gain. the good news (more good news below!) is that with destruction comes creation, new beginnings, a better, more improved version of ourselves.
it's the ninth lunar day (tithi), the ninth phase of the waxing moon, which is associated with the nagas, serpent beings who bring wisdom, but not without some inner emotional turmoil. we may feel the need for more solitude today, may be prone to existential questions like: who am i? why am i here?
friday is ruled by venus, who gives us our capacity for joy, which is really infinite—the possibility for joy is all around us all the time & there's no reason for us not to experience it, in big & small ways. yes, there is suffering everywhere in the world, but is our own suffering, harshing of our high, negating our joy, going to alleviate it? rhetorical question!
"good news! i saw a dog today!" says buddy (will ferrell) in elf.
notice all the many small things that have the capacity to spark joy in you!
TL;DR
explore new realms physically &/or intellectually. • lots of inner searching & destroying yields transformation. • take a page from will ferrell in elf.
& that’s your daily bliss! IN-joy! 🌓🙏✨
