Expect the Unexpected & Accentuate the Positive
Full Moon in Libra/Vishakha invites us to stop playing defense, to move beyond past limitations, notice all the ways we are supported, not thwarted.
it's monday, may 12, & moon is in libra, in the starspace called vishakha, where it will max out its fullness around 11 a.m. MDT. the full moon in libra means the sun is opposite in aries, where two weeks ago we had the new moon, in the starspace called bharani. full moon initiates the completion cycle of the work inspired by that new moon.
bharani invited us to ask, what burden am i carrying that’s wasting my energy, sucking my life force? who would i be without judgments & criticisms? what do i fear losing? what might i gain if i lost my fear? what might be possible?
how's that been going?
vishakha gives us the power (vyapana shakti) to move through/penetrate all things. its rulership of both indra (the king) & agni (the priest) unites the material & the spiritual, gives our life meaning & the means to achieve it. the symbol of this asterism is a triumphal arch—our triumph comes when we pass through that portal & emerge on the other side, where the blessings await.
in some traditions indrani, indra's consort, is considered the ruler. she is associated with lightning sparks of inspiration & creativity. these sparks are easy to miss, come when least expected. keep your eyes out!
new moon, where sun is now, in aries was about me-me-me. libra, where full moon is, is about we-we-we. we get to ask how we show up fully in relationship as our fully authentic selves.
sun, exalted in aries, can be overly confident/prideful. indrani is associated with pride & jealousy & our ability to overcome/transcend them.
after months of new & full moons with lots of intense planetary activity, this full moon should feel less charged—yay! yet moon is hanging out all by herself & is aspected by a debilitated mars, & moon's ruler, venus, altho exalted, is in the sixth house from libra & hanging out with rahu & saturn.
we may feel like withdrawing during the next fortnight, which is great for doing our healing/transformative work, not so much if it's b/c we are avoiding it.
soooo, our full moon invitation is to triumphantly move beyond past limitations & experiences by integrating their lessons. to stop playing defense, stop paying attention to what's wrong & pay attention to what's right. to notice all the ways in which we are being supported rather than thwarted. to walk through through that portal & do so egolessly, in a spirit of service.
TL;DR
full moon initiations the completion cycle of our new moon work: what load(s) are you still carrying? where are you seeing external threats that really don’t exist? where is pride preventing you from doing your healing work? how is jealousy showing up? • inspiration & creativity may be sparked at any moment—be on the lookout!
may you feel the blessings of this full moon!
& that’s your daily bliss! IN-joy! 🌕🙏✨
