Hang Ten, Y'All!
Moon is in Scorpio + it's Jupiter's day: Between doubt & uncertainty (Scorpio) lies faith (Jupiter).
it's thursday, march 20, & moon is in scorpio, in the starspace (pie slice of scorpio sky) called anuradha until midday, then jyeshtha. scorpio is where we get to surf the dark, choppy waters of our shadow, where unpleasant feelings foam with a frenzy, where we're uncertain about what's real & what's not, what is based in reality & what is conjured by fear. key word is "surf," being able to ride the waves rather than get sucked under by them, being able to be with what arises, regardless of our discomfort—it won't last forever.
"the art of life is to stay wide open & be vulnerable, yet at the same time to sit with the mystery & the awe & with the unbearable pain—to just be with it all."—ram dass
anuradha's superpower is devotion, its weakness deep hurt if that devotion is taken for granted, abused. anuradha is ruled by mitra, who reminds us that every relationship, that everything we do, is (or can be!) sacred. jyeshtha's superpower is taking responsibility, its weakness being control-freaky. jyeshtha is ruled by indra, who, as the king of the gods, destroyed the demons threatening the heavenly realm. but/& he had to learn that the real demons he needed to conquer, the ones preventing him from expressing his highest self, were in his head. how can you make your life more sacred? how can you practice self-mastery?
it's the sixth lunar day (tithi), the sixth phase of the waning moon, which started yesterday, so keep feeling into your confidence, & remember that confidence is better than perfection, b/c perfection means doing your best, but confidence means knowing you can handle the worst. note to self: you don't have to get it absolutely right, you just have to try.
thursday is ruled by jupiter, who gives us faith, hope & wisdom. wisdom comes from life experience & teachers & gives us hope, hope gives us faith.
"certainty is the great enemy of unity," says cardinal lawrence (ralph fiennes) in conclave. "certainty is the deadly enemy of tolerance. ... faith is a living thing precisely because it walks hand in hand with doubt. if there was only certainty & no doubt, there would be no mystery & therefore no need for faith."
faith—trust in the unknown, in the mystery, in the big picture—is not one & done. it's an ongoing dialogue between certainty & doubt, & is constantly being tested.
TL;DR
try surfing the waves of icky feelings rather than getting sucked under & pummeled by them. • bring the sacred into your life; practice self-mastery. • confidence is better than perfectionism. • faith is on ongoing dialogue, not one & done.
& that’s your daily bliss! IN-joy! 🌖🙏✨
