Hope & Black Holes—Huh?!

Moon is in Sagittarius + it's Venus' day: Zoom out & take in the big picture view of your life; T.G.I.F.

it's friday, april 18, & moon is in sagittarius, in the starspace (pie slice of sag sky) called mula. after what can feel like hopelessness in scorpio, where drama & trauma can prevent us from seeing beyond the horizon, shrink our view, under the sway of sagittarius, hope begins to flutter in our soul, we begin to zoom out & take in the big picture view of our life, can stop sweating the small stuff, shake it off like a dog shaking off water after getting caught in the rain.

mula means "root" & is ruled by niritti, an especially fierce form of already pretty darn fierce kali, who helps us yank out by the roots what doesn't serve our highest purpose, our highest expression of self. the key astronomical feature of this asterism is that it sits at the galactic center, containing a supermassive black hole called sagittarius A, which is four million times the mass of our sun! the only thing we know that black holes contain is mystery. this asterism brings a message about exploring the core mystery of who we are & what we are doing here, about rooting out what lies hidden within us, like limiting beliefs & habits. mula invites us to declutter mentally, physically, psychically, emotionally, spiritually, to ask whether our beliefs support or sabotage our progress, says, out with the old so there's room for the new.

it's the sixth lunar day (tithi), the sixth phase of the waning moon, which has the quality of passion & so resonates well with passionate friday. while we focused on our goal yesterday, perhaps narrowed many goals down to one, today we can actually start making it solid, real, adamantine.

friday is ruled by venus, who is the part of us that just wants to have fun, enjoy our embodied existence, do what we love with the ones we love. venus says, T.G.I.F.
