Let Compassion Be Our Guide
Moon is in Pisces + it's Moon's day: Touch into what lies beyond this mortal coil, trust your intuition.
it's monday, january 6, & moon is in pisces, in the starspace (pie slice of pisces sky) called revati. pisces vibrates with the frequency of otherworldliness, of beyond-this-world-ness. it creates an environment in which we can feel & know that we have a body but are not this body, that we are infinite, one with all, a fractal of the divine. pisces invites us to experience our absolute nature, transcending our individuality, our personhood. this invitation can, however, be misinterpreted as one to escape from reality, the desire to know what lies beyond so strong that we go to any means necessary & do so unconsciously. drugs, sex, shopping, food, alcohol, binge-watching netflix are means of dropping out, not dropping deeper in. sorry! the truth is, we don't need anything but the vehicle of ourselves to transport us into the great unknown.
"the kingdom of god is not in the clouds, in some designated point of space; it is right behind the darkness that you perceive with closed eyes."—paramahansa yogananda
revati is ruled by pushan, the cosmic shepherd, who, like st. francis of assisi, is a sort of patron saint of animals, one who compassionately guides all lost creatures hOMe (people included). it's a good day to do lead with compassion.
"if you have men who will exclude any of god's creatures from the shelter of compassion & pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men."—st. francis of assisi
it's the eighth lunar day (tithi), the eighth phase of the waxing moon, which means the moon is halfway on its journey between new & full, that it is half dark & half light. which means that we will be feeling half dark & half light & that we will be supported in accepting & embracing both our darkness & our light, harmonizing the polarities within us (like the loving & the judging?!). one definition of yoga is the ability to hold opposites in mind simultaneously. how's that going?
monday is ruled by the moon, who gives us the superpowers of compassion & intuition, the latter the ability to know in our heart, rather than our head, what's true. as with all superpowers, they become more super the more we use them & if we don't use them, well, we lose them.
the inspiration, the knowing, we seek is within—all we have to do is drop in & listen.
TL;DR
drop in, not out. • lead with compassion. • embrace all sides of you—the darkness & the light. • use your superpower of intuition or lose it.
& that’s your daily bliss! IN-joy! 🌓🙏✨
