Perception Is Reality
Moon is in Pisces + it's Moon's day: Can you expand your awareness to encompass all that is & all that you are? What might happen if you could be completely, vulnerably present?
it’s monday, july 6, moon is in pisces, in the starspace (pie slice of pisces sky) called uttarabhādra, it’s the seventh phase of the waning moon & moon’s day.
where your attention is being drawn
pisces vibrates with the frequency of all there is. as in, all. there. is. as in, expanding our awareness to the farthest reaches of consciousness, for, um, consciousness is all there is, isn’t it? & it is limitless, which means we are as well. pisces is a dual sign, meaning it’s not wedded to one point of view, one way of being, like being a drop in the ocean or the ocean in a drop—pisces can hold both/&. we are both/&. we are infinite.
“if the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear as it is, infinite.”—william blake
“perception is reality.”—lee atwater
what reality do you see? do your doors of perception need cleaning? do you need to take off your VR goggles?
how to direct your mental/emotional energy
uttarabhādra brings stability to what might have gotten shaken up, shaken loose, in pūrvabhādra, the previous nakshatra. if you had an “aha!” yesterday, a jolt of inspiration, of realization, now’s the time to act ... if you’re going to. b/c not every idea is worth chasing, bringing down to earth. we have 6,000+ thoughts a day—if we followed every one to its natural conclusion we’d never have time to eat or sleep or anything else.
don’t rush into anything. trust your intuition to tell you what is worth your time & energy, what serves your highest purpose. act when you yourself feel grounded, stabilized, sure.
what supports you emotionally
the seventh lunar day (tithi), the seventh phase of the waning moon, is ruled by goddess shivaduti, aka
“shiva’s messenger.” she gives us shiva’s mental steadiness, his self-command, ability to control moon’s (mind’s) fickleness, constant changingness—he does, after all, wear the moon on his head adorning his dreadlocks!
shiva incarnated as hanuman, reminding us what it means to serve selflessly, with humility. shivaduti likewise brings that message. & if we don’t heed her counsel, she’ll lovingly provide circumstances in which we will have no choice but to surrender.
best to just do your duty—cause you’ll have to eventually!
how to align with the weekday’s energy
monday is ruled by moon, who gives us our capacity to receive, feel & connect, which come from vulnerability, from allowing ourselves to be as innocent as children, with hearts & minds that are open & unfiltered, capable of perceiving pure presence.
how guarded are you? what might happen if you let down your guard, trusted in the presence of the moment, allowed yourself to be your most moony self?
🌗🙏✨
tl;dr
what might happen if your doors of perception got five-star spring cleaning? • did you have an “aha!” yesterday that’s worth running with? • steadiness of mind & humility get your duties done. • receptivity, feeling & connection are on the menu.
the daily bliss is 100% human generated! the act of creation is intrinsic to being human—when we give up our agency to create, we cease, little by little, to be fully human.
may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little (or a lot!) more bliss in your life.
