Repeat After Me, "I Am Love"
Moon is in Virgo + it's Venus' day: Perfectionism is sooooo overrated; in order to feel love, we have to express love.
it's friday, may 9, & moon is in virgo, in the starspace called hasta until midday, then chitra. virgo is the land of perfectionism, where we see all the imperfections & incompletions of our life & feel compelled to perfect & complete, in order to make us feel safer, in control of our life. but/& control is an illusion, right? & perfectionism is a cruel taskmaster, is never satisfied, b/c, let's face it, perfectionism is also an illusion—there's always one more bit of polishing that can be done, right? which is why virgo is opposite pisces, the land of surrender, of dissolution into all that is. so do your best & let god do the rest, as my teacher sharon gannon says.
both hasta & chitra bring lessons about creativity, hasta about allowing it to flow through us & out our hands (our hastas), chitra about our alchemical ability to transform/materialize something out of the amorphous ether, the magic dark of our subconscious, into reality, into something bright & beautiful ("chitra" means "glittering," "brilliant"), as sparkly as a jewel.
it's the thirteenth lunar day (tithi), the thirteenth phase of the waxing moon, which removes all shortcomings & increases all the good juju, & is ruled by kamadeva, the hindu cupid—& you probs don't need me to tell you what that means!
friday is ruled by venus, planet of love & other earthly delights. "you can only feel love by expressing it," says amma. also:
"instead of 'i love you,' it would be better to say 'i am love—i am the embodiment of pure love.' remove the 'i' & 'you,' & you will find that there is only love. it is as if love is imprisoned between the 'i' & 'you.' remove the 'i' & 'you,' for they are unreal; they are self-imposed walls that don't exist. the gulf between 'i' & 'you' is the ego. when the ego is removed the distance disappears & the 'i' & 'you' also disappear. they merge to become one—& that is love."
bonus track: speaking of love, it's going to be a libra, i.e., relationship, kinda weekend, which will culminate in a libra full moon on monday, so we get to ponder how we show up in love & how those we love/like do & whether there is distance between us or not.
TL;DR
do you best & let god do the rest. • creativity, like love, is our nature—we can’t not create. • love is in the air. • relationships are on deck for the weekend—how do you & your people show up in them?
& that’s your daily bliss! IN-joy! 🌔🙏✨
