Repeat After Me, "I'm All Ears."
Moon is in Capricorn + it's Mars' day: Be your own dang life coach; don't get cranky, get physical (but meditate first).
it's tuesday, march 25, & moon is in capricorn, in the starspace (pie slice of capricorn sky) called shravana, so we get another day of keeping our nose to the grindstone, taking our responsibilities seriously. saturn, master of time & karma, who rules capricorn, reminds us that time waits for no one & that if we don't get 'er done now, we're just gonna have to get 'er done next time around. barry rosen, an astrologer i follow, calls saturn the life coach, for good reason. just like saturn, a good life coach doesn't suffer procrastination & victimization but gives you an assignment & deadline & holds you accountable. do your saturn today: give yourself an assignment with an expiration date & hold yourself accountable (or ask someone else to).
shravana comes from the sanskrit verb shru (श्रु), which means "to hear," as in listening, deep listening. unlike hearing, which is passive, listening is an intentional, active process that involves getting very still, very quiet, as we do in meditation (more below), keeping our ears open. in the jivamukti yoga tradition, we fine-tune our ability to listen by focusing on nada, the vibrations of the universe, from the gross (music, a baby's cry, birdsong) to the subtle (the ineffable). in this way, eventually but inevitably, we experience the merging of our individual selves with all that is.
it's the eleventh lunar day (tithi), the eleventh phase of the waning moon, when the mind is least busy & we are thus best able to focus on & reap the benefits of spiritual practices like fasting & meditation. with meditation, "the more regular you are, the greater depth you will attain," said osho, adding that "meditation is such a delicate thing that it takes months to grow but just a day or two to wither away. ... meditation is of the highest, & through it the divine is attained. if you do not meditate, you will not know what you were to gain & what you have missed. ... the greatest misfortune that can befall people is that they never come to know what they have missed."
what have you been missing?
tuesday is ruled by easily fired-up & frustrated mars, which is why i call it cranky tuesday. is it just me? if it's you too, move that heat out through your bod, get physical (after you meditate!).
TL;DR
keep your nose to the grindstone & hold yourself accountable. • hearing is passive, listening is active. how hard are you working at listening? • meditation connects you to the divine—don’t miss out! • move anger & frustration out through your body—go for a run, clean your house.
& that’s your daily bliss! IN-joy! 🌘🙏✨
