Rise & Conquer!
Full Moon in Scorpio/Jyeṣṭhā overnight invites us to be fearlessly curious so we can reach the zenith of our power ... with humility.
it's tuesday, june 10, & moon is in scorpio, in the starspace (pie slice of scorpio sky) called jyeṣṭhā, where full moon is in the wee wee hours overnight. full moon in scorpio means sun is opposite, in taurus, in this case in the starspace called mṛgaśirā. also in the mix: moon gets an aspect from mars, & both sun & moon are dwelling in the portion of the D20 (chart of spiritual progress) ruled by goddess bhairavi. & it's strawberry moon time, a once-in-18-ish-year phenom when moon rises at its lowest point on the horizon: look to the east at sunset tonight!
let's see ...
• moon is debilitated in scorpio, where our shadow lives. full moon amplifies all that, making our shadow bigger & badder, more dramatic, exaggerating our negative thoughts & emotions. think river overflowing its banks.
• jyeṣṭhā gives us the shakti (power) to rise & conquer, to dare to overcome our limiting beliefs & negative tendencies so we can reach the zenith of our power. it is ruled by indra, once the most powerful god in heaven, who was felled by his arrogance. this asterism brings a lesson about self-perfection & cautions us against feeling so superior to others that we can't receive feedback, that we feel emboldened to point out everyone else's mistakes/imperfections, think we don’t make/have any.
• mṛgaśirā gives us the shakti of fulfillment & is the star of the hunt, the chase, of curiously seeking. sun wants to shed light on hidden truths or information.
• mars, who rules scorpio, gives us courage, but/&, b/c of moon's debilitation, might also make us more prone, during the waning fortnight, to his shadow energies: irritation, anger, frustration—especially if we've been suppressing them—might trigger toxic aggression.
• bhairavi, "she who is terrifying, fearless, awe-inspiring," is goddess durga, who is a formidable incarnation of kali. bhairavi does not let fear define her. she is the consort of bhairava (aka shiva/śiva). think destruction in the service of creation. think transformation.
putting all that together, full moon ponderings might include:
• do i see enemies/threats where there are none?
• do i fear being imperfect, rejected, judged?
• can i be curious & in the intention to learn when it comes to my negative tendencies & limiting beliefs?
• am i open to feedback?
• do i suppress emotions or express them in an unhealthy way?
• am i focussed so much on the few things that are wrong that i don't see everything that's right?
wishing you a most insightful & transformative full moon! you got this!
TL;DR
negative thoughts & emotions get maxed out as moon, in her sign of debilitation, maxes out in brightness. • pride goeth before the fall. • beware toxic aggression. • see q’s for self-inquiry, above.
& that’s your daily bliss! IN-joy! 🌕🙏✨
