Shadow Play
Moon is in Scorpio + it's Mercury's day: Ya can't heal what ya can't acknowledge; being curious & in the intention to learn is perhaps the first step.
it's wednesday, may 14, & moon is in scorpio, in the starspace (pie slice of scorpio sky) called jyeshtha. scorpio vibrates with the frequency of our shadow, of our deepest, darkest secrets, the ones so deep we might not even consciously realize they exist, the ones so dark we don't want to acknowledge their existence. but/& here's the thing: our shadow holds the key to our healing, & most of us still have healing work to do, still have the dregs of trauma or disappointment or loss or grief circulating through us. we can't heal what we can't acknowledge, can't heal what we refuse to see, can't change a pattern we won't admit exists, will keep endlessly repeating what we don't repair. it helps to understand that we've all got stuff—we're not in this alone. it also helps to get on our mercury (it is, after all, his day), to be curious, to be in the intention to learn, when diving into the nooks & crannies of our psyche.
"your nervous system will always choose a familiar hell over unfamiliar heaven. heal, so you can choose differently."—emmylou seaman
or, um, choose differently so you can heal!
jyeshtha means "eldest" & is ruled by indra, who was the king of the gods, of heaven, an elder, the master of the universe, if i may, & whose name derives from "indriyas," the word for our sense organs. this asterism brings a lesson about mastering our own desires, perfecting ourselves, rather than criticizing & judging others for their imperfections.
it's the second lunar day (tithi), the second phase of the waning moon, which supports us with the quality of pride, the pride to manifest/achieve our goal. but/& just as indra found out, pride goeth before the fall! second tithi + wednesday can be both auspicious & not, success coming when we remember that the end does not justify the means.
wednesday is ruled by mercury, who gives us discriminating intelligence, curiosity & the ability to communicate. he also learns by doing, through direct experience. he does his own research, gathers his own facts, forms his own opinions, rather than relying on those of others.
fyi: speaking of shadow, i am off to totally immerse in mine for the next several days (highly recommend!), so i'll catch back up with you on monday.
TL;DR
what we don’t repair will just keep repeating. • notice where you’re still coming up short, rather than others. • take pride in your intentions to manifest, but don’t let it go to your head. • what might you learn by doing, through direct experience, today?
& that’s your daily bliss! IN-joy! 🌖🙏✨
