Start Where You Are
Moon is in Aries + it's Moon's day: Be boldly you—everyone else is taken; healing comes from seeing likeness, not difference, in others.
it's monday, march 31, & moon is in aries, in the starspace (pie slice of aries sky) called bharani. aries, the first sign of the natural zodiac, vibrates with the frequency of beginnings, of birth & rebirth, of our individuality & authenticity. the new moon on saturday, in pisces, the sign of endings, marked the vedic new year, two more invitations to manifest anew, be reborn, start over.
"start close in, don't take the second step or the third, start with the first thing close in, the step you don't want to take. start with the ground you know, the pale ground beneath your feet. ... start with your own question, give up on other people's questions, don't let them smother something simple. ... start right now, take a small step you can call your own, don't follow someone else's heroics."—david whyte
moon is in aries once a month, we get a new moon once a month. we've also already had the new year based on the gregorian calendar, the chinese new year & the tibetan new year—all invitations to transcend our past self, transform it into our future self, all portals between what was & what can be.
how might you boldly go where you've never gone before? how might you boldly be who you've never dared to be before? what does that first step look like? the first step is always the hardest—don't skip it. start where you are.
bharani is symbolized by the womb, another portal between states of consciousness, between the ephemeral & the material, the means through which the soul emerges in a new physical form. this asterism reminds us of the cycle of life, of being in the flow of beginnings & endings, not resisting one or the other, which is pointless & only makes earth school harder than it needs to be.
it's the third lunar day (tithi), the third phase of the waxing moon, which supports us in nourishing & sustaining whatever we have started to manifest, like a gardener watering their garden, a mother taking care of her family. in fact, it's a very good day to tend to home & family.
monday is ruled by moon, who invites us to heal by seeing likeness not difference, to see ourselves in strangers, to not see red or blue but the great see of humanity of which we are a part.
TL;DR
david whyte offers guidance on authentic creation & self-creation. • resisting what is just makes earth school harder. • tend to whatever you are growing anew like a gardener a new shoot. • can you see yourself in a stranger?
& that’s your daily bliss! IN-joy! 🌒🙏✨
