Stillness Is a Radical Act
Moon is in Capricorn + it's Moon's day: Witnessing the collective shadow of humanity isn't for sissies; witness, rather than succumb to, turbulent emotions.
it's monday, april 21, & moon is in capricorn, in the starspace (pie slice of cap sky) called shravana. earthy capricorn vibrates with the frequency of our life structures, the foundations of which need to be dug deep into the earth, like the foundations of a house, be strong & sturdy, ground & support our lives. capricorn is ruled by the stern taskmaster saturn, who keeps our nose to the grindstone, helps us persevere, focus on the long-term rather than the short-. immediately gratification? meh! capricorn is also the sign of government & saturn is exactly conjunct (at the same degree in pisces) the trickster rahu, which we may be experiencing as stress & confusion & is worldwide bringing our collective karma, our collective shadow, to the forefront, testing our ability to hew toward the light, showing us how far we've progressed & how far we still have to go.
"it takes a tremendous amount of emotional & spiritual maturity to witness in full force the collective shadow of humanity & keep your heart open."—teal swan
shravana is the star of deep listening, of getting so quiet we can hear our innermost most innermost voice. which can only happen by first stilling our body, so we can still the mind. "stillness is a radical act," says dr. zach bush. "true stillness is not an absence but an arrival—a return to the present moment, when all things converge & the veil of separation dissolves. ... stillness is resistance. resistance to the noise that tells us we are only worthy when we are doing. ... stillness is where the earth whispers her wisdom, where we remember our purpose is not to dominate life but to align with it."
what wisdom might be whispered to you today if you can get still & listen deeply?
it'll be the ninth lunar day (tithi), the ninth phase of the waning moon, when you read this, which is associated with the nagas, the serpents who dive into the dark nooks & crannies of our psyche, bring our attention to the parts of ourselves we'd rather ignore, raising existential questions, creating emotional turmoil. but/& it's all meant to help, not hinder, our soul evolution, give us an opportunity to learn, become wiser.
monday is ruled by the moon, who is watery—i.e., emotional—like the ninth tithi, so let's do beware not getting overwhelmed by what we are feeling, perhaps observing without succumbing.
TL;DR
the foundations of our life, personally & globally, are on high today. • if you can get still & listen deeply, you just might get a download of wisdom.• speaking of wisdom, it often results from focusing on hard truths about ourselves. • be warned that watery moon + watery tithi is a recipe for becoming emotionally waterlogged.
& that’s your daily bliss! IN-joy! 🌗🙏✨
