The Balance Between Me & Thee
Moon is in Libra + it's Moon's day: Relationships of all shapes & sizes are on the docket today as is our ability to feel, which is key to creating connections.
it's monday, march 17, & moon is in libra, in the starspace (pie slice of libra sky) called swati. libra is the environment of relationships & how we show up in them. sociable libra is opposite autonomous aries. this axis invites us to explore the polarity between these two energies, between, say, being a good friend & being fully who we are, not hiding parts of ourselves for fear of what the other will think or do, not overgiving to get, def not being a doormat. any & all relationships—platonic, familial, business, romantic—may be up for examination. libra wants balance, harmony, an equal exchange of giving & receiving—a dialogue, not a monologue. what might you find if you dissected your relationships? what grades would you give them? are you showing up as 100 percent you in them?
"the only way to be free is to be who you are, no matter what."—rumi
swati is ruled by vayu, the god of wind, who can help us spread our message as swiftly as the wind—need to mediate a relationship hiccup? send out an email campaign?—& can also scatter our energy in all directions like the crazy-ass winds whipping through boulder right now, bring confusion, make us impatient. key word for today is focus.
it's the fourth lunar day (tithi), the fourth phase of the waning moon, which is related to ganesh, he of the big head, the bringer & remover of obstacles, who was born out of the dirt of his mother parvati's bath & who was beheaded by papa shiva. the message? our obstacles are all in our heads, so don't get stuck in yours (more below!), on one way of perceiving a "problem," which will only make it worse, seem insurmountable.
monday is ruled by moon, who gives us our ability to feel. according to neuroscience, although we may think (!) of ourselves as thinking creatures that feel, biologically we are feeling creatures that think. emotions evolved millions of years before thinking did; they are more ingrained in us, & they have an intelligence all their own—they tell us, for example, when we are in danger & they drive us to create, invent, build, imagine. they are also the foundation of intimacy & connection (libra!), which are key to not only surviving but thriving.
TL;DR
make sure you are getting as good as you’re giving. • use the wind to communicate not to dissipate your energy. • obstacles are created by getting too stuck in our heads. • we do your emotions have to teach you?
& that’s your daily bliss! IN-joy! 🌖🙏✨
