The Beacon of Your Light
Moon is in Leo + it's Moon's day: Shine brilliantly & generously so others know it's possible; feel first, think later.
it's monday, may 5, & moon is in leo, in the starspace (pie slice of leo sky) called magha. leo is ruled by the sun, who shines brilliantly & consistently 24/7, whose light never goes out. sun shares his light with the world generously, b/c he can, b/c that's his dharma, & makes life possible for us here on planet earth. under the sway of leo we are invited to shine as brightly & brilliantly & generously as the sun, to unabashedly live our dharma, own our vision, not to blind others with our light but to be a beacon to show them the way, to show them how to show up. the bhagavad gita tells us that "whatever action is performed by a great man, common men follow in his footsteps. & whatever standards he sets by exemplary acts, all the world pursues." (chapter 3, verse 21) we are each encouraged to act with the highest integrity, set the highest standards for ourselves so others will do the same.
"some will see your flame & want to blow it out ... others will approach with a candle."—lenita vangellis
magha means "mighty" & is ruled by the pitris, who are our ancestors, which, biologically, extend all the way back to adam & eve! this asterism brings a lesson about lineage & its karma, which we can either carry forward or transform & transcend. when we do our own work & heal ourselves, we heal our entire lineage—doing our work, we do their work as well. rinse, repeat, recycle or repair, refresh, revivify—what'll it be?
it's the ninth lunar day (tithi), the ninth phase of the waxing moon, which supports us in, well, doing some inner work, unpacking & untying the knots of negativity preventing us from shining as brightly as we can, releasing the hold of stuckness from people, emotions, situations, whatever.
monday is ruled by moon, who is our emotional intelligence, which neuroscientist dr. jill bolte taylor, says is essential to us: "although many of us may think of ourselves as thinking creatures that feel, biologically we are feeling creatures that think." in fact, our ability to feel emotions developed before our ability to think. emotions are necessary for survival—they tell us when we're in danger, for example. what are you feeling now & what is that feeling telling you?
TL;DR
living your unique dharma is your gift to the world. • doing your own work is the opposite of selfish. • untie knots of negativity. • we are feeling creatures that think—whaddya think of that?
& that’s your daily bliss! IN-joy! 🌓🙏✨
