The Heart Knows
Moon in Cancer + it's Mercury's day: Nourish what you really love; dive into your innermost depths & ponder what you find there.
it's wednesday, november 20, & moon is in cancer, in the starspace (pie slice of cancer sky) called pushya. after exploring new realms under the sway of gemini, we check in with our heart in cancer & feel into what lands there, what resonates, what we want to keep, what we want to let go. pickleball? hell, yes! trying to come up with a solution for recycling plastics? not so much! the journey from gemini to cancer is one from the head to the heart, from thinking to just knowing. a cancer friend shared yesterday about a trip she's planning to the pembroke coast of wales (pictured!) in the spring. why wales? i asked. i don't know, she said, i am just feeling pulled there. what is pulling you? what do you know in your heart to be true for you? how much do you listen to your heart, trust your heart?
pushya is the star of nourishment, in the sign of the all-nourishing, unconditionally loving mother, cancer, & is ruled by brihaspati, the priest, the guru to the gods, who nourished them with divine wisdom, rid them of ignorance, shone a light in the dark. this asterism reminds us that what we nourish is what will grow & what grows will reflect how we nourish it—with, say, wholesome organic produce or fast food. it reminds us, especially, to nurture the light within each of us, to kindle the spark of the divine into a blazing fire.
it's the sixth lunar day (tithi), the sixth phase of the waning moon, which supports us in overcoming negative tendencies, in defeating the forces of darkness (aka ignorance) within.
wednesday is ruled by thinky, talky, curious mercury, who is still hanging out in scorpio. it's a good day to dive into your innermost depths—ya know, the places you might fear to tread—& take note of what you discover, maybe by sharing in a group or by journaling it out.
btw: what i love, besides writing, is jyotish (vedic astrology) & for the next five days, starting tomorrow, i'll be diving way deep in by attending the virtual parashara vedic astrology conference (the learning never stops!)—fourteen-ish hours of lectures every day starting at 6 a.m. so i won't be combining both loves by writing the daily bliss again until tuesday. c u then!
TL;DR
trust your inner knowing. • nourish the divine spark within. • vanquish limiting beliefs & negative tendencies. • be curious & communicative.
& that’s your daily bliss! IN-joy! 🌖🙏✨
will miss your post! (but will be in San Diego for a conference, so prob not much time anyway!)
