The Magic of Repetition
Moon is in Aries + it's Mercury's day: Go boldly but look where you're going & think BIG!
it's wednesday, january 8, & moon is in aries, in the starspace (pie slice of aries sky) called bharani. aries, the sign of "me," is opposite libra, the sign of "thee." as with all cosmic oppositions, it's not one or the other but both &. the symbol of aries is the ram, who charges full steam ahead with his head down, not looking where he's going, his powerful (bone) yet flexible (wrapped in keratin) horns enabling him to withstand impacts while leaving destruction in his wake. mixing animal metaphors, think bull in a china shop (& not ferdinand, who is a gentle taurean kinda bull). while aries encourages us to focus on the "me" end of the polarity, to hone & uplevel our identity, our individuality, we also get to do so without trampling on others, leaving shards of porcelain behind us.
bharani comes from the sanskrit verb that means "to bear," as in bearing children (its symbol is the womb!) or in bearing the consequences of our actions, taking responsibility for them, as parents must do when they bring children into the world. bharani invites us to recalibrate, make amends if necessary—like if we accidentally trampled on someone b/c our head was down & we weren't looking where we were going! bharani gives us a reality check, an opportunity for course correction/reevaluation. for example, ashwini (see yesterday's post) invited us to ponder how we are using our vital life force, to perhaps say "no" more than "yes." my "no's" include texting & emailing more than necessary, both of which are still need recalibrating, making amends to myself, so thank goodness for bharani. where might you course correct? who deserves your amends?
it's the tenth lunar day (tithi), the tenth phase of the waxing moon, which is related to dharma & supports us in seeing the patterns in our life, our repetitive acts. my yoga teacher sharon gannon always says, "with repetition the magic is forced to arise." if the magic isn't arising, if you're not feeling it, maybe you've verged off your dharmic path, aren't fully aligned with it, maybe you think your dharma is other than it is. what do the patterns in your life reveal about you & your path?
wednesday is ruled by thinky (& talky!) mercury, who is hanging out in philosophical & inspirational sagittarius these days. got BIG ideas? awesome!
TL;DR
do you without trampling on others. • recalibrate, make amends if necessary. • what do the patterns in your life reveal about you & your path? • inspirational ideas are heightened.
& that’s your daily bliss! IN-joy! 🌓🙏✨
