What We Resist Persists
Moon is in Aries & it's Jupiter's day: Harness the courage to be for you, not against you, to be for something rather than against it, to vibrate at your highest frequency.
it's thursday, november 14, & moon is in aries, in the starspace (slice of aries sky) called ashwini until noon mountain time, then bharani. aries gives us an opportunity to start over, reinvent ourselves, become more "me," launch the business or initiate the project that's been on our back burner, persisting, nagging at us.
"the more important a project is to the evolution of our soul, the more resistance we will feel toward it. ... so if you're feeling massive resistance, then that's a good sign, b/c it tells you that you've kind of tapped into some project that's really, really important to you."—steven pressfield
have you been resisting something? what would you do, how would you be, if you didn't care what anyone thought, weren't worried about the outcome? aries is ruled by mars, who gives us the courage to just go for it, or, as steven pressfield would say, begin today.
ashwini gives us the horsepower to reach our goal quickly, bharani the ability to recognize missteps, perhaps by rushing & not focusing, & take responsibility for them. remember: aries is symbolized by a ram, who charges ahead with his head down, not looking where he is going, & that doesn't always work out so well! all of our actions have consequences.
it's the fourteenth lunar day (tithi), the fourteenth phase of the waxing moon, which is as filled with intensity as the moon is full to bursting with light. this tithi has a quality of fierceness & the potential for deep transformation if we can harness our own fierceness & ask ourselves, for example, whether we are resisting (clearly the theme of the day!) our own transformation, whether feeling full as full is scary or exciting. if misunderstood & mismanaged, this intensity can show up as nervousness, irritation or anger, so watch out for that.
thursday is ruled by jupiter, whose sanskrit name is guru. "guru" means "the one who dispels the darkness," aka our ignorance, which he does through wisdom teachings. like, what we resist persists. like, resisting what is creates suffering. in my yoga lineage, we are taught that it's more powerful to be for something than against it. when we are against something, we are filled with negative energy, it permeates us, weighs us down. "for" invokes hope & optimism, other qualities of jupiter, & allows us to vibrate at a higher frequency, be light 'n' bouncy.
TL;DR
what would you do, how would you be, if you didn’t care what anyone thought? • charge ahead & be prepared to take responsibility for any missteps. • harness your fierceness for the sake of your evolution. • being “for” is a higher vibration than “against.”
& that’s your daily bliss! IN-joy! 🌖🙏✨
