Who's Your Bestie?
Moon is in Leo, then Virgo + it's Mercury's day: Be the star, then the stagehand; thinking & communicating could be dicey.
it's wednesday, may 7, & moon moves from leo into virgo early afternoon while being supported & transported by the starspace called uttaraphalguni. the transition from leo to virgo is one from seeing & being seen, standing in the limelight, to going incognito & taking care of all the life details that let you shine. if leo is the king, virgo is the scullery maid. so strut your stuff this morning, then tidy up your act this afternoon—scrub floors, pay bills, implement a new diet or workout regimen.
uttaraphalguni reminds us that when we make choices/commitments/agreements based on what's in the highest interest of everyone involved, everyone benefits, everyone profits. uttara p is the birth star of goddess lakshmi, who helps us attract abundance, which comes from not being greedy or stubborn & making good financial decisions.
it's the eleventh lunar day (tithi), the eleventh phase of the waxing moon, which supports turning inward, dealing with our spiritual rather than our material life. (of course, the spiritual supports the material, but that's another story for another day.) a spiritual practice anyone can do is meditation, which can be as simple as taking a five-minute timeout in stillness from your day, & gives us an opportunity to connect more deeply with our truest, most essential self, appreciate who we are, be our own bestie.
"we don't need to change ourselves. when people begin to meditate or follow a spiritual path, they often think they're supposed to improve—but that's just a subtle aggression against who they already are. lovingkindness, or maitri, toward ourselves doesn't mean getting rid of anything. ... meditation isn't about throwing ourselves away to become something better. it's about befriending who we already are."—pema chödrön
wednesday is ruled by mercury, who has finally left pisces, his sign of debilitation, & moved into aries—but only just. yeah, he's barely got a foot in the door, & the juncture between watery pisces & fiery aries is called a gandanta, which can be translated as "the end" (anta) of "a knot" (gand), the knot being a karmic one. this is a good thing ... for those who are ready-willing-able to try to unravel that knot, get free & clear from the past. in any event, do bear in mind that our ability to think & communicate will be as tenuous as mercury's in his new home today.
TL;DR
shine as brightly as possible, then take care of the life details that allow you to do so. • are your agreements with others mutually beneficial? • meditation is the key to self-love. • mercury is in a precarious place, so thinking & communicating are as well.
& that’s your daily bliss! IN-joy! 🌓🙏✨
