Pop the Bubble: Let the Beautiful Thing Go
Moon is in Scorpio, then Sagittarius + it's Mercury's day: Be gentle with yourself as you release emotional attachments & embrace the inspiration to move forward; rock those iconoclastic ideas.
it's wednesday, june 11, & moon moves from scorpio to sagittarius this morning, & from the starspace called jyeṣṭhā to mūla, by taking one evel-knievel-like leap over that abyss between them. that abyss, which exists at the last degree(s) of all water & first degree(s) of all fire signs, is called a gaṇḍānta.
gaṇḍa, usually translated as "knot," is also, according to the sanskrit dictionary, a "pimple" or "bubble"; anta = "end." the knot/pimple/bubble represents a bit of karma we get to untie/pop/burst, something we're still clinging to. on the scorpio/water side it may be a knot (or pus-filled pimple! or balloon!) around emotional attachments, a clinging to what was (good, bad or ugly). on the sagittarius/fire side, it can be resistance to initiating change, to embracing a new perspective.
at this precarious juncture, we feel both: what is holding us back & what is inviting us to move forward. it can feel like we're walking on the moon, each step seeming to take forever to complete.
"don't cling to the past. it was beautiful, but now it's gone. let it go, so you can be available to the present."—osho
where have you been? where are you going? what do you get to release? what do you get to embrace?
mūla (see yesterday's post for jyeṣṭhā) means "root" & is ruled by niritti, the goddess of chaos, who is related to yesterday's fierce goddess bhairavi. niritti, like bhairavi, takes no prisoners, is ruthless in getting to the root of the matter & yanking out every last bit of fiber that has insinuated its way into the fertile soil of us.
this asterism exists at the center of our galaxy, around which our solar system rotates. there are no stars in the galactic center, just a supermassive black hole, a great metaphor for what lies hidden inside us.
we get to harness our inner niritti & yank out from our depths whatever is preventing our soul evolution, whatever is keeping our light hidden—woo-hoo!
it's the first lunar day (tithi), the first phase of the waning moon, & it's a tender day given all the above. keep sitting with yesterday's questions. keep excavating.
wednesday is ruled by mercury, so it's always a good day to share ideas, which may be taking a more expansive & unconventional turn now that merc is hanging out with jupiter in gemini & getting the gaze of rahu.
TL;DR
the juncture between scorpio & sagittarius has the potential for great transformation. • be fearless in uprooting what doesn’t serve your highest expression of self. • keep feeling into yesterday’s full moon questions. • share your thoughts, which may be especially unconventional right now.
& that’s your daily bliss! IN-joy! 🌕🙏✨
